This is a rare situation of where a pipe organ replaces an electronic organ.
The church originally had an electronic organ by Johannus and by 2024 was coming to the end of it's useful life and an opportunity came up to replace this with a pipe organ thus giving the rare situation of a pipe organ replacing an electronic!
The replacement organ was originally built by the John Compton Organ Company Ltd in 1936 for a church in the Edinburgh area as job number A364 and is the 2 rank 'Miniatura A' model. It was removed and remained in storage with a local organ builder to Edinburgh until being installed here. The restoration and installation here by was carried out by Peter Hammond.
