The present church was built in 1958 and Compton were appointed to install the organ in the new church. The organ incorporated pipework from an instrument built in 1926 by Rutt for the previous Methodist Church. Of interest is that the console is the type normally used for 'electrone' instruments which Compton were also building at the time.
