The present church was opened on 10th May 1931 when it was consecrated by the Bishop of Guildford. However, it was not until 1936 that the organ was donated by Edward Bugden.

In true Compton fashion, the organ (Compton job number A361) was built on the 'extension' technique using 5 ranks of pipes all fully enclosed. However, unlike most organs of this size, two chambers were employed - each also having their own tremulant unit and, therefore, giving a slight nod to the cinema organs that Compton were also building at this time.

In 2016 the organ was restored by Keith Bance of Harrow which saw the original electric action replaced by solid state and the addition of 2 ranks of pipes - a Stopped Flute and a Celeste.
