St Mary's Church in Boongate, Peterborough is a superb example of a Compton organ that has been rebuilt by another organ builder.

The organ was originally built in 1935 (job number A301) for the previous church building as a 2 manual instrument with 4 ranks of pipes.  A new church was built and the organ was rebuilt into the new building by Percy Daniel of Clevedon.  The original Compton pipework became the swell division, along with most of the pedal, and a new great division was created using new pipework.  The original Compton console has also been used.
