The present church was built in 1961 after the original church, along with most of the area, was destroyed during the blitz in world war two.  8 ranks of pipes are housed in 2 fully enclosed chambers which speak into the church via a beautifully designed ornamental grille and dummy pipe facade at the front behind the pulpit.
